Anecdote: Sometimes is better to desobey

When I was about 7 years old, I moved up to a house, where I’m living now. I remember moving up to this house was really exiting and I was extremely happy, because It‘s really big, and it has a beautiful garden. A few days after moving here I was playing volleyball in the garden with my new neighbour who was in his garden and we was passing the ball over the fence when suddenly the ball fell behind  a bag with wilted plants in it. I went to pick up the ball when amazingly I saw a snake. I started desperately to shout “a snake!” and my parents answered to me “keep an eye on it”. They thought I was confusing a cable from the work, which had fallen on the floor, with a snake, or that I was joking. The funniest thing is that I was looking at the snake as my parents told me, when my mother came to the garden and she saw it was real, she was very upset. Luckily it was a little snake that wasn’t s dangerous and all the kids came to my house to see it.

8. About a newspaper article

There are millions of people on the earth and every single person has a family lifestyle that differs from another one. The relationship of the families and their habits are conditioned by the place where they were born, the socioeconomic background, the culture, as well as other factors.

I just read a newspaper article called “lost childhood”, and I decided to write about it. This report was about pushy parents who are robbing children of their happiest years taking them to lots of after-school activities.

In my opinion I think that children shouldn’t do too many activities before school, because childhood is the only time in your life when you can play and you haven't any worries, this is why don’t share the view of the families that the childs are always doing loads of out school activities, because the child might get stressed. In fact, I know some families that take their child to lots of activities to give to them a break, which to my mind is a selfish attitude. My family are always encouraging me when I have to make a decision or when I want to do something, but never force me to go to after school activities that I wouldn’t like to just do it, to give to them a break. In conclusion, I totally agree with the families which say that children must be listened to and given your time to them.

6. My favourite band: U2

I like many different types of music, but rock and pop-rock are my favourite. My favourite band is called U2. This group are an Irish rock band from Dublin. It was formed long time ago , in 1976, before I was born. The group consists of Bono (vocals and guitar), The Edge (guitar, keyboards and vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen, Jr. (drums and percussion).

The first time that I listened this band I was twelve and I was doing out school english classes when the teacher played the song Sunday Bloody Sunday. I love all of their song because in contrast of the newest music, the U2's lyrics have sence. I also like it  because they have collaborated with other musicians, celebrities, and politicians to address issues concerning poverty, disease, and social injustice. Furthermore I’ve been to Ireland three times in my live and maybe that has influenced to make this band as my favorite.

The best songs are: With or Without You, Where The Streets Have No Name, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, One...

I suggest this magnific band to everybody who have a good liking music!

5. My favourite song: "One"

My favorite song is a hard question to answer. I like so many, because my favorite song changes depending on the mood I'm in, but currently I like "One". The lyric was written by Bono and I decided to pick this song because I've just written a entry telling that my favourite band is U2, but I also like other songs from bands as Coldplay, Maroon 5, Green Day, Red hot chili peppers, Katy Perry, etc.

I really like this song because the lyric is awesome, and I love the melody of the bass, drums and guitar.

I've heard this song about a hundred times, but when I listen it again I find another sense. That's what makes a masterpiece stand out.

Lyric

Is it getting better
Or do you feel the same
Will it make it easier on you now
You got someone to blame
You say...

One love
One life
When it's one need
In the night
One love
We get to share it
Leaves you baby if you
Don't care for it

Did I disappoint you
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without
Well it's...

Too late
Tonight
To drag the past out into the light
We're one, but we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other
One...
Have you come here for forgiveness
Have you come to raise the dead
Have you come here to play Jesus
To the lepers in your head

Did I ask too much
More than a lot
You gave me nothing
Now it's all I got
We're one
But we're not the same
Well we
Hurt each other
Then we do it again
You say
Love is a temple
Love a higher law
Love is a temple
Love the higher law
You ask me to enter
But then you make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what you got
When all you got is hurt
One love
One blood
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
With each other
Sisters
Brothers
One life
But we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other

One...life

One

3. My school

I really enjoy my first experience of school. I go to St. Andreu School where the classes are big and the teachers are very kind and friendly. At the age of twelve I went to the secondary building of the same school and although I enjoy studying all the subjects,  I like learning languages and I love learning economics. Nowadays, I'm in my last year at high school and soon I will be at university.
I've changed my ways of studying so I prefer to study with other people, rather than study alone, because is more motivating and we  discuss ideas together, is  easier to remember but I always need to write them down. I will miss the school when I leave it.

1. My town: Badalona

Badalona is open to the sea and enclosed by mountains, separated from her older sister (Barcelona) by the river Besòs and surrounded by other similar municipalities.

I was born in Barcelona, but I live in Badalona which is known to everyone by Serrat song " Que bonita es Badalona " and it’s the third most-populated city of Catalonia. It is located in the comarca of the Barcelonès, suburb of Barcelona and part of its metropolitan area.

For some time the chimneys of factories have shut down and many industries have became museums, such as the iconic “Anis del Mono”. In addition, nowadays, Badalona it is home of the basketball team from this town, Joventut de Badalona, also known as la Penya.

In Badalona you can enjoy a Mediterranean climate and taste the typical Spanish food which it has a strong culinary reputation.
